Warning Symbols...

Assalamualaikum, Just like an ordinary lab we need warning signs. You may have known these, but it's just as important to double check. Just in case you are thinking of taking on a real lab....
--------------------------------------------------------------------
IRRITATING SUBSTANCES

These substances are very irritating (and harmful) when it comes into contact with the skin. When it comes in contact you should wash it immediately and thoroughly with clean water. And I don't mean irritating as in annoying like your little brother or sister...

--------------------------------------------------------------------
BIO-HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

Examples of these substances are Bacteria, Germs, and contagious stuff. A biological hazard or biohazard is an organism, or substance derived from an organism, that poses a threat to the human health. This can include medical waste, samples of a microorganism, virus or toxin that can impact human health. It can also include substances harmful to animals. The term and its associated symbol is generally used as a warning, so that those potentially exposed to the substances will know to take precautions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
TOXIC SUBSTANCES
The Skull and Crossbones symbol DO NOT REPRESENT PIRATES! Instead it is today generally used as a warning of danger, particularly in regard to poisonous substances.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCES

These substances releases harmful bits of radiation which can cause cancer which definitely affect the human health. Some of these radiation comes from a popular element, Uranium (U 92). Uranium is used to make nuclear bombs by the way..

--------------------------------------------------------------------
CORROSIVE SUBSTANCES

These substances are obviously corrosive. when it comes in contact with the skin, a really painful sense of burning will be felt and the only safe way to avoid it is much to obvious, don't spill any on to your skin.(DUH) Examples of these chemicals are ammonia, acids & alkali, halogen salts such as Bromine and Iodine.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCES

Any explosive material is a material that either is chemically or otherwise energetically unstable or produces a sudden expansion of the material usually accompanied by the production of heat and large changes in pressure (and typically also a flash and/or loud noise) upon initiation; this is called the explosion. All that is also known as combustion then explosion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCES

These substances, when comes in contact with little heat can become a fuel for a REALLY big bonfire. Examples of these substances are, petroleum, fuel, oil and Dynamites.
